Nike and Epic Games are no strangers to each other. They have worked together before, bringing Travis Scott's iconic Air Jordan 6 to the virtual world of Fortnite. They also teamed up to develop a unique Nike Zoom Freak 4 PE in collaboration with Giannis Antetokounmpo. Now, in 2023, they are taking their collaboration to an even higher level with the launch of 'Airphoria'.
Airphoria brings the world of Air Max to life in a virtual island that Fortnite players can explore. The island contains five 'Air Max Grails' - the Air Max 1, Air Max 97, Air Max TW, Air Max Scorpion and the Air Max Pulse - all of which can be collected to earn an in-game reward: the Air Max 1 '86 Back Bling.
Fortnite is known for its striking skins, and two new skins are available for this collaboration: Airie and Maxxed Out Max. These characters are designed with recognisable elements from the Air Max line and come with signature pickaxes, a glider, an emote, a loading screen and more.
Airphoria Island can be visited from 20 June 2023 at 12:00 ET until 27 June at 20:00 ET. You can access it through Fortnite Discover or with the island code 2118-5342-7190. Want to know what the island looks like? Then check out the video below!
