After countless revivals, reworks, and wild takes over the years, the latest version of the Shox silhouette is unlike anything we’ve seen before. The 'Nike Shox Z' is a sleek, kitten heel-inspired sneaker that flips the script on what Shox technology can look like.
The design is unique, to say the least. Nike has taken the wavey DNA of the classic Shox TL and mixed it with elements of the Shox NZ, but stripped things back for a cleaner, low-profile build. The standout detail is a subtle curve at the heel. It channels the kind of silhouette you’d expect from a fashion runway, definitely not the gym.
The cushioning system underfoot is kept minimal at the front and rises at the back. Giving the sneaker a modern-meets-retro feel. The same kind of style crossover that made the New Balance 1906L a hit earlier this year. And if the design is giving you flashbacks to the Martine Rose x Nike Shox, you’re not imagining it. This pair taps into that same innovative spirit.
There’s no official release date yet, but Nike has hinted at a Fall/Winter 2025 release. Expect retail to stay around the €120 mark.
