Update August 26, 2025 – The Nike Vaporfly 4 Pre Montreal and the Nike Pegasus 41 SE Waffle Racer have just dropped unexpectedly at Nike, two of the four running sneakers from the International Running Pack. Be among the first to try out these new innovative running sensations, dear community.
On August 21, 2025, Nike unveiled the International Running Pack, a collection that blends the brand’s rich running heritage with modern performance technology. The pack drops just ahead of the athletics championships in Tokyo and highlights the strong connection between Nike and the Japanese running community.
Four iconic silhouettes make up the collection, giving timeless designs a fresh update
- Vaporfly 4 – inspired by the Pre Montreal racing spike, made famous by Steve Prefontaine.
- Alphafly 3 – drawing inspiration from the historic Sting, Nike’s original racing flat.
- Pegasus 41 – a modern nod to the legendary Waffle Racer.
- Vomero 18 – inspired by the LD-1000, Nike’s long-distance trainer from the 1970s.
Besides footwear, the pack also includes a matching apparel collection, where classic Nike Running pieces are reimagined with contemporary Japanese style and cultural touches from local running crews. The result is a line that celebrates both heritage and modern innovation.
Release details
The Nike International Running Pack will first be available at the UNION RUNNING DEPT. BY NIKE in Tokyo on 30 August 2025. A wider release across Japan follows on 5 September, with the collection going global on 10 September via nike.com and select retailers.
