In this article we take a look at a very well-known and historic icon from the sneaker scene. It's all about the Nike Huarache! The icon from the 90s
Since the Huarache has a special history, let's start with a little look into the past. As is often the case, we'll start in the 90s, in 1991 to be exact, when the Nike Air Huarache was first released. Tinker Hatfield also had a hand in this model.
The marketing of the shoes began with the slogan "Have you hugged your foot today?" Only a few copies of the shoe were sold and some might have given up on the model at that point.

Nike Huarache Models For Sale
We start with a model that is no longer available in all sizes. Nevertheless, we wanted to show you this model and remind you that some sizes are still available from our partners.
If you can't get your size in retail anymore, you can check out resell platforms like StockX take a look. Unfortunately, you will have to pay a small surcharge of €20-30.
The Stussy X Nike Air Huarache LE QS 'Desert Oak' is a reissue of two OG models that were released back in 2000. This one is the popular brown version, with some chic colour contrasts. The retail price is €130.
Nike Air Huarache 'Escape'
Next up is the Nike Air Huarache in the 'Escape' colorway. The shoe is still available at some of our partners and retails for €130.
This version is also a re-release from 2003. The combination of many different colours made the sneaker very popular back then. If you like the retro look, just click on the picture or follow the link below.
Another OG - 'Scream Green'
The third model is the Nike Air Huarache 'Scream Green'. For those of you not familiar with the Air Huarache history, this model is THE OG Nike Air Huarache!
First released in 1991, the shoe has now been reissued in 2021 for its 30th anniversary. For €130 you can get this iconic retro sneaker on your shoe shelf!
White shoes remain trendy
Since white shoes are totally clean and super combinable, I also picked out the Nike WMNS Air Huarache 'Triple White'. Of course, all guys can wear the shoe, as long as your size is available. Unfortunately, the WMNS sizes only go up to a maximum of size 44.5. Just have a look at our partners via the link below.
Tip: The Air Huarache models often run half a size smaller. So if you're between two sizes, you might want to go one size up.
Nike Air Huarache 'Orca' | DD1068-001
After we have already seen a few OG variants, let's take a look at the 'Black White' colorway. The super comfortable Nike Air Huarache Orca OG comes in a combination of black and white and celebrated its comeback in June 2021.

These Huarache releases await us in 2021
Finally, I would like to give you a little preview of an upcoming colorway from the Nike Huarache range. On Sunday, 8 August 2021, is Nike SNKRS Day. We are sure to see some hyped restocks and exciting moments in the Nike SNKRS app.
In addition, the Nike Air Huarache 'SNKRS Day' - 2021 will celebrate its release there and will certainly be part of the 'SNKRS Day' line-up. A Jordan 1 in a similar colorway will also be released.
The Nike Wmns Air Huarache OG 'Concord' was also recently launched on 29 July 2021.
