In recent years, the Dunk has become one of Nike's most popular silhouettes. The model is regularly covered in the colours of an American university, such as the previously dropped Dunk Low 'Syracuse' and Dunk High 'Kentucky Blue'. Now Nike is also dropping the Dunk Low 'UCLA', which is colour-inspired by the University of California - Los Angeles.
The Nike Dunk Low 'UCLA' combines the school colours blue and yellow. The blue is inspired by the clear California sky and sea. The yellow comes from the bright sun and the famous California Poppy flower.
The upper has a leather base that is coloured 'University Gold'. This is further covered in 'Blue Jay' leather overlays. The tongue is also golden and features blue detailing. Beneath the upper is a white midsole, which creates an airy break from the gold-blue colour combination. Finally, the pair is rounded off with a matching blue outsole.
