Nike is never done designing new silhouettes and this year comes with the Air Max TW 1. The TW 1 is inspired by the Air Max Tailwind and the Air Max Plus. The inspiration from the older models is clearly reflected in the new design.
The new silhouette comes out for the first time in a 'Racer Blue' colorway. The upper of the new pair is made of various materials, including leather and mesh. The leather returns on the toe cap and around the collar. These elements are in white.
On the center panel, the mesh comes into its own and creates several blue arrows. Below these arrows, a pattern emerges that is clearly derived from the Air Max Plus. There are blue accents on this pattern as well, as well as on the lining and midsole.
In addition to blue accents, yellow accents are also used. A small Swoosh sits on the toe and the upper lacing eyelets have also been given the yellow color. This color is most noticeable in the Air Unit where you can see two distinct bubbles.
On the tongue is a 'TW Air Max' logo, which is very similar to the 'TN' logo on the tongue of the AM Plus. Nike's Move To Zero pinwheel logo returns on the insole, indicating that the sneaker is made from sustainable and recycled materials.
The release date for the Nike Air Max TW 1 'Racer Blue' has not yet been announced, but the drop is expected to occur within the next few weeks. Check out the official images of the brand new pair below.
