On May 24, 2024, the Nike Air 180 'Ultramarine' will make its long-awaited comeback. The sneaker, designed by Nike legend Tinker Hatfield, debuted in 1991 in the pink and blue colorway. Especially for the release, Footdistrict collaborated with artist Maldito Mono.

Since the introduction of the Nike Air 180 over 30 years ago, the model has been associated with art. The sneaker has a distinct design and is suitable for anyone who wants to express their creativity through their style.
Hatfield was well aware of the distinction between art and functional design. To present the technological advances of the Air 180, he commissioned artists from all over the world. Think Ralph Steadman from the UK, Marcello Morandini from Italy, Alfons Holtgreve from Germany, Takenobu Igarashi from Japan and more.
For the re-release of the sneaker, Footdistrict collaborated with illustrator Maldito Mono. The Spanish graphic artist has an extensive knowledge of sneakers and particularly the Air Max series. Maldito draws inspiration from the graffiti scene and has a distinct style.
Summarising the Nike Air 180 into three designs was a difficult task for him, but that is what he wanted to achieve with the sticker pack. Each Air 180 'Ultramarine' you buy at Footdistrict comes with an exclusive sticker pack and booklet designed by Maldito.
The Air 180 'Ultramarine' drops at Footdistrict on May 24, 2024. Check out images of the sneaker design and its stickers below.
