Cuts & Slices is a "Black-owned pizzeria" in New York City. Besides Cuts & Slices, Randy McLaren, owner of the pizzeria, also has a passion for sneakers and runs his own sneaker shop called McLaren Kicks Shop. In a collab with adidas, he combines his two passions and releases the Cuts & Slices x adidas Forum High.
The sneaker has a retro look and comes in an 'Off-White/Shadow Red' colorway. The Forum High has a sleek silhouette and has become a true classic in recent years. Burgundy details are placed all over the design. For example, the address of the pizzeria appears on the heel and is set here in burgundy.
The Cuts & Slices logo appears on the heel. The label on the tongue has been given the well-known logo of the NY-based pizzeria, and on the strap on the lace panel is put the quote "Pull Up Beloved. This refers to fans of the pizzeria. The adidas Trefoil logo appears on the heel and the center panel features the three adidas stripes. A tag is attached to the lace panel with the Cuts & Slices logo.
The sneaker was first seen on Sept. 24, 2022, in a block party organized by Cuts & Slices. Here, fans could already admire and cop the first specimens. On October 4, 2022, the global release took place and the Forum High is currently still available at various retailers.
