Rotjoch
In the upcoming episode, rapper and 101Barz founder Rotjoch, real name Angelo Diop, is a guest. Rotjoch started 101Barz in 2006, a platform under the editorship of BNN VARA that gave a stage to Dutch hip-hop. Rotjoch also has a rap career of his own.
In the studio of 101Barz, rappers of Dutch origin are invited to do a freestyle session, with Rotjoch as presenter. Each session begins with the well-known tagline "Check dan, het is Rotjoch op je beeldscherm", after which Rotjoch gives the stage away to the rappers in the studio. Over the past few decades, the platform has become a well-known phenomenon inside and outside hip-hop culture and has already had a lot of viral moments.
In addition to founding the platform 101Barz, Rotjoch also owned record label Mucho Dinero from 2010 to 2014. In 2022, he released his own debut album, Float. The album came with features from Hef, Lil Kleine, Idaly, Cho, and Kevin, among others. In addition, Rotjoch expressed in 2023 that he will start a new label called QREAM in collaboration with Believe.
In the upcoming episode of De Grotet Tim & Tom Sneaker Show, Rotjoch talks about his career in the hip-hop industry. He makes interesting statements about his obsession with tracksuits and gives his unvarnished opinion on Job de Wit, among others.
