The year 2021 was all about 'The Wave', a collaboration between Patta and Nike. Four colorways were released, each featuring a wavy mudguard. Now, six months after the collab, Guillame Schmidt shows a fifth colorway of the sneaker.
Guillame Schmidt, co-founder of Patta, shared a photo on May 18, 2022 in which he wore a new colourway of the Patta x Nike Air Max 1. The sneaker shares the same design as its predecessors and is reminiscent of the 'Rush Maroon'. This was the last sneaker from 'The Wave' collaboration.
The collaboration of Patta and Nike under the name 'The Wave' started on October 15, 2021. That's when the first colorway 'Monarch' was released. Shortly after, the colorways 'Noise Aqua', 'Black' and 'Rush Maroon' followed. The collab also came with its own mini-series telling the story of Patta. Now the collaboration gets another colorway.
The sneaker has a light grey upper. It is made of mesh and corresponds to the previous sneakers from 'The Wave' collaboration. The mudguard colours maroon and is reminiscent of the 'Rush Maroon'. Unlike its predecessor, this pair has a glossy finish. The collar turns pink and contrasts nicely with the overlays.
If and when the new Patta x Nike Air Max 1 colorway will be released is still unknown. Keep an eye on our release calendar and stay tuned.
