After getting a taste of the Junya Watanabe MAN x New Balance 1906 Loafer during Paris Fashion Week 2024, we are now treated to the first images of another remarkable design. The brand is introducing a sandal that once again brings together New Balance's features in an all-new silhouette inspired by the 'dad' trend.
Despite little being known about the shoe - even the name is still missing - the first images have already appeared for us to see. We see a sturdy shoe with an upper made of different materials, such as mesh, suede and other fluffy textures in earthy tones, including olive green, beige, brown and black. The real eye-catcher of the design is the thick, two-tone Vibram sole.
Like the New Balance 1906 Loafer, the sandal has no traditional laces. Instead, the shoes come with thick straps around the feet. To provide extra support and optimal fit, straps are also placed around the ankle.
Although currently only one colour variant has been revealed, we expect the New Balance sandal to become available in multiple colorways. The exact release date is not yet known, but the sandal is expected to be available in summer 2024.
