New Balance is on a roll. Last year, the brand made a big impression with the release of the 1906L, and collaborations with Action Bronson, KITH, Daniëlle Cathari, and Miu Miu were also well received. This year, the brand has already announced several general releases that, in my opinion, might even be stronger than some of their collaborations.
The New Balance Gator Run is a prime example.
The Gator Run returns from the archives. Originally designed as an artificial turf shoe, New Balance now reintroduces the silhouette as a lifestyle sneaker. The first two colorways, 'Black' and 'Shadow Red', feature a patent leather upper with a chic crocodile texture.
The rubber outsole with unique rubber studs gives the pair a chunky look and serves as a clear nod to the Gator Run’s performance heritage. The result is an exciting, contemporary take on a sporty classic.
