New Balance has been on a roll of digging deep into its archive while pushing new lengths in design. Taking inspiration from the Joe Freshgoods collab earlier this month, the sneaker appears in a vibrant pink colorway.
The 'Rose Sugar' arrives in a rich blend of pinks, burgundy, and creamy neutrals. Functionally, it keeps the ABZORB comfort technology. A full-length ABZORB-sole works in tandem with SBS-pods for responsive cushioning, while a sculpted midsole and visible shank deliver structure underfoot.
Design-wise, glossy plastics, translucent details, and soft gradients give the upper a fluid, futuristic feel. The one-piece mesh base fades from deep pink to cream, while pale screen-printed overlays add movement and depth. Touches of silver on the 'N' logo, tongue, and heel offer a slick contrast, and a rose-gold ABZORB midsole glows against burgundy underlays.
Lastly, a black-and-grey rubber outsole finishes the design with some tonal edge.
The New Balance Abzorb 2000 'Rose Sugar' will release later this Summer 2025, via New Balance for €145. Keep an eye on the Sneakerjagers news page for more updates.
