MDS (MIYAKE DESIGN STUDIO) and ASICS are joining forces for a striking new collaboration titled the 'ISSEY MIYAKE FOOT' project. With this collab, the two Japanese names take a deep dive into the dynamics of the human foot, resulting in a completely new sneaker concept.
The HYPER TAPING, the silhouette born from this collaboration, made its debut during the ISSEY MIYAKE Men Spring/Summer 2026 show at Paris Fashion Week. The sneaker draws inspiration from the iconic ASICS Stripes, adding a distinctive “taping” concept to the design.
The result is a close-fitting sneaker reminiscent of a bouldering shoe. The HYPER TAPING features thick, elastic bands that run across the entire silhouette. Underfoot, a responsive SPEVA midsole provides everyday comfort.
The ASICS HYPER TAPING will be released in three colorways: 'Green', 'All Black', and 'All Grey', each featuring co-branding. The collaboration launches on January 5, 2026, and will be available at selected Issey Miyake retailers and ASICS.
