British designer Kim Jones has designed a new collaboration with Converse! For the collab, Jones has designed two brand new colourways for the Chuck Taylor All Star 70. The sneakers have a 90s vibe with a platform sole and many other exciting details. Kim Jones is a well-known British designer and, among other things, the artistic director of Dior Homme and the women's collection of Fendi. He has also worked with some big brands such as Jordan Brand and Nike. His most famous sneaker could possibly be the Dior x Air Jordan 1 collab.
He also recently released two new colourways for the Nike Air Max 95!
Kim Jones X Converse
For this collaboration, Kim Jones decided to create a new variant based on the classic and world-famous Chuck 70. This limited edition was inspired by British streetwear of the 90s. Jones created two colourways: a beige and a black model.
One thing that stands out directly in these designs is the TPU covering around the upper layer. This material is semi-transparent, which gives the sneaker a real retro vibe. Underneath this TPU layer, of course, we find our trusty Converse Canvas on the Chucks.
This layer not only looks stylish, it also offers additional weatherproof protection. The material is made of rubber with a layer of varnish on top, which makes the Chucks rain-resistant.
The thick sole under the shoe offers extra protection from rain and those devilish puddles that we all know have attacked our beloved sneakers at one time or another. In addition, the chunky style fits super into the current trend and definitely makes a statement!
Complete The Look
To complete the Kim Jones X Converse look, an additional clothing collection has been released. The colours have been kept simple, which is why these items can be worn with many outfits.
In keeping with the weatherproof concept, a rain jacket is also being released to give your outfits the finishing touch for those crazy rainy days out there.
