In many families, football is a shared language, wherever your parents grew up. That idea sits naturally with the Kids of Immigrants x Nike Tiempo, a collaboration that moves from the street to the pitch. The Los Angeles label quite literally builds its founders' roots into the upper. That gives the Kids of Immigrants x Nike Tiempo more weight than an ordinary colorway.

There are two models. The Tiempo Maestro Elite FG SE 'Sundial' (IV3429-700) is a firm-ground football boot. Alongside it comes an indoor shoe: the Tiempo Streetgato 'Amarillo' (IV3430-700).

The first sign of what was coming appeared on the training ground. Matheus Cunha, a forward for Manchester United, recently trained in the Maestro. The boot surfaced before any official images had made the rounds.

So who is the brand behind this project? Daniel Buezo and Weleh Dennis founded Kids of Immigrants in Los Angeles in 2016. The name says a lot: the label is about the children of migrants and pride in where you come from. Buezo has Honduran roots, Dennis Liberian.

Their best-known mantra, 'We Are Our Parents Wildest Dreams', appears on hoodies and tees. Community, hospitality and belonging run through the collections like a common thread. In July 2026 the label opened its first flagship store on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles.

The bond with Nike has been growing for a few years. In 2024 the duo brought back the Air Max SNDR, a 1999 runner with a stretchy upper and a rugged outsole. The collaboration debuted at ComplexCon in Las Vegas, in a purple 'Persian Violet' and an orange-yellow 'Sunrise'. The Sundial color already played a part on both pairs.

Earlier this year came the T90 Mule, a lifestyle take on the Total 90 as a mule, in 'Khaki' and 'Velvet Brown'. From sneaker to football boot, then. A logical next step.

Mountains of Honduras and Liberia

The story of this model lives in the upper. Where the Tiempo Maestro usually has horizontal ridges, raised contour lines spread out from the midfoot. They reference the mountainous terrain of Honduras and Liberia, the founders' home countries. That turns the Kids of Immigrants x Nike Tiempo into a kind of map of two families.

The colorway brings back 'Sundial' from that 2024 Air Max SNDR. A gradient from yellow through orange to red runs towards the toe and heel. Black covers the midfoot, lining and sole.

Small red Swooshes, 'Kids Of Immigrants' lettering on the lateral forefoot and 'TIEMPO' on the heel finish it off. Underneath the soleplate, metallic and blue studs stand out.

The Streetgato 'Amarillo' carries the idea indoors. According to the product information it gets a yellow suede upper with dark brown overlays on the toe and heel. Perforations on the side panels, a small metallic red Swoosh and a red interior complete the look.
