Nike is giving the Air Rift an autumn upgrade. The Nike Air Rift Mystic Dates has an upper of burgundy pony hair and leather, on a sole in the same shade. The official colorway is Mystic Dates/Black, and the Nike Air Rift Mystic Dates is available now.

The base stays familiar. The split toe divides the front of the shoe in two, a hook-and-loop strap keeps your foot in place and the opening stays wide. What's new is the material. Pony hair covers the toe box and side panels, while smooth leather frames the opening. The strap carries a tonal Swoosh.

The Air Rift debuted in 1996 as a lightweight running shoe inspired by Kenyan runners. Its name refers to the Great Rift Valley. For a long time the model was all about mesh and light materials. With pony hair, the Air Rift moves firmly into autumn and winter territory.

With style code IO4884-600, the Nike Air Rift Mystic Dates belongs to the same family as the Pony Hair Pack, which landed this autumn in three other colours.
