Vans is increasingly working on collaborations with other brands. Recently a collab with JJJound came out with the Vault Sk8-Mid model. In the meantime, the design team of Vans was busy with the collaboration with Kids of Immigrants.

Kids of Immigrants

Kids of Immigrants was founded by Daniel Buezo and Weleh Dennis in Los Angeles in 2016. They wanted to use the brand as a medium through which they could share their passion for creation, empowerment and love. Their mission statement is inspired by their roots, environment and life experience. 'Do the best we can with what we have'.

Buezo and Dennis are first generation Americans and came up with the brand name because there is one thing that brought them together. They are children of immigrants. The brand wants to show that people are made up of different materials and that together they form a whole.

The upcoming collaboration with Vans is already the third to come out. In 2020, they released a Lowland CC in white and canvas. The intention of this pair was that you would customize it yourself. With your purchase you received a bag with brushes and a sponge.

For the fifth anniversary of the Los Angeles-based clothing brand, they have fulfilled their second collaboration with Vans. For this collaboration, the Old Skool model was used and given a double tongue. The left shoe had a black colorway and the right one a blue one. This pair was released in the spring of 2021.
