K-Swiss comes with new Match Rival

The K-Swiss Match Rival was released this week. The sporty pair has different colorways for both men and women. The model is inspired by the eighties tennis sport and this is clearly reflected in the silhouette of the sneaker.

K-Swiss as a tennis shoe

K-Swiss is particularly well known for the tennis shoes they have made in the past and still sell today. The brand was founded in 1966 in Los Angeles by two brothers, Art and Ernie Brunner. Together they launched the K-Swiss Classic, the first American tennis shoe made entirely of leather.

This white sneaker was for twenty years the only shoe that the Brunner brothers put on the market. K-Swiss became a big player in the tennis world and was sponsor of many professional tennis players. Today, K-Swiss has a wider range of clothing and sneakers. The new K-Swiss Match Rival is a good addition to this.

The K-Swiss Match Rival has taken its inspiration from the eighties. The retro look of the model in combination with the iconic five stripes on the side, makes this sneaker a must-have for every shoe cabinet. The Match Rival is reminiscent of the Gstaad from K-Swiss, but has a slightly tougher look.

There are five colorways of the Match Rival. The sneaker is made of nylon, which makes the shoe very flexible. The rubber sole with SurgeLite EVA gives the sneaker strength and makes it a suitable shoe for daily use.

The Match Rival is available in the following colours: White, Black, Peach, Green and Turquoise with Pink.
