Artist Joshua Vides collaborates with New Balance for the first time. In the new collab, the two names give the models 327 and 57/40 a makeover with the theme 'Process'.
Artist Joshua Vides is known for his cartoon-like drawings. In his artworks, he uses the colours white and black. These colours are also used in the New Balance collab. In the past, Vides has also collaborated with Nike and Converse. These pairs also showed his personal style and had a cartoonish look.
The first pair, is the New Balance 327. This model is black and has white spatters all over the design. The theme of the collab is 'Process'. Vides gets inspiration from the different steps in the design process. The paint splatters on the 327 also refer to this.
The N logo on the middle panel has been given a black colour. The pair also has a gum sole and the midsole is coloured off-white. This gives the trainer a retro look.
The New Balance 57/40 shares the same colours. The upper in this pair is white and has black paint splatters around the entire silhouette. The design also features the iconic thick lines of Vides' works. This pair also has a gum sole and the label on the tongue features the New Balance logo.
Both pairs will be released on Joshua Vides' site on 6 November 2021. In addition, Vides and New Balance are also coming out with a number of garments that tie in well with the collab.
