As the Air Jordan 1 marks its 40th anniversary, Jordan Brand has paid homage to its roots in a big way by producing High '85 versions of every original colorway from 1985.

Originally launched in sixteen distinct variations, eighteen if you include the AJKO versions, the Air Jordan 1 quickly became a cultural icon. Now, Jordan Brand has recreated all of those classic looks in the High ’85 silhouette, faithfully mirroring the original’s shape, materials, and proportions. They typically reserve this silhouette for special releases, which makes this full set even more remarkable.
The full lineup surfaced online through photos shared by @bookofrowan, a Jumpman employee, giving fans a complete view of the collection. So far, Jordan Brand has released only four original colorways in the High ’85 style: Neutral Grey, Black/White, Metallic Burgundy, and the classic Bred. Fans and critics alike have praised each pair for staying true to the original design and vintage details.
As for the rest of the lineup, Jordan Brand has yet to announce any release plans. DJ Chase B gave fans a sneak peek of the Royal pair in late 2024 via Instagram. In March, designer Julian Gaines showed off the Chicago colorway, while Fragment Design founder Hiroshi Fujiwara recently stepped out wearing the UNC version.

Jordan Brand hasn’t confirmed a launch date for the remaining colorways, but growing buzz suggests fans are eager for what’s next. Whether they end up on the shelves or not, the full reveal of these High '85 samples is a fitting tribute to a sneaker that forever changed the game.
