The French fashion label Pigalle is working with Nike again. Pigalle has been showing its skills on the catwalk during Fashion Week for years. For FW21 runway designer Stéphane Ashpool has unveiled a series of Air Jordan 1 Mids. This time, the leather of the Jordan 1 Mid has been traded for a velvet upper. Four colorways have been unveiled for the catwalk. Whether we will see a release, we have to wait and see.
His designs are worn by the likes of Drake and Rihanna. For years, designer Stéphane Ashpool has been using the sport of basketball to unite neighbourhoods. Deserted places in world cities are transformed into open-air sports grounds. So basketball is very important to the designer. In his new collection, he uses the Jordan 1, a basketball sneaker. Four velvet Jordan 1 Mid's are seen on the runway is a striking pink colour, olive green, grey and blue. These colours also seem to be the colour palette of Pigalle's fall/winter 2021 collection. The Paris-based brand has a lot in store for the upcoming Fasion week!

Whether we will actually see the release, we are not sure yet. But it could well be since Pigalle already has a lot of collaborations behind them, including Nike and Converse. In this collaboration, the Jordan 1 Mid got a full velvet upper. Per colorway, the entire shoe is made in one colour. The pink Jordan is the most striking. We also see an olive green, blue and grey sneaker with a full velvet upper. The sole also comes in a lighter colour than the upper. Laces are alternate in the same colour or in white.
