Back from the shadows. Jil Sander returns to PUMA after several decades, releasing a luxurious version of the football classic King Avanti, a model whose influence reaches far into the sneaker world.
With the first sneaker scheduled for October, we can look forward to the second part of the collaboration in March 2026.
A look back in time. The year is 1998: Jil Sander, in collaboration with PUMA, reinterpreted the King Avanti, a model that was previously seen only on the football pitch at the time. What started as a subtle upgrade of a classic evolved into a partnership that seamlessly combined luxury and sport.
More than three decades later, Jil Sander, under the creative direction of Simone Bellotti this year, and PUMA pick up the thread again. Together, the duo unveils the King Avanti, crafted in premium leather with gold branding. The PUMA logo is placed on the tongue flap, while the Jil Sander logo appears on the insole.
The Jil Sander x PUMA King Avanti will release on October 14, 2025, in a 'Navy' colorway, exclusively at Jil Sander and selected retailers. The second part of the release is expected in March 2026, though it is not yet known what further surprises the collaboration will bring.
