New Balance has released six new colorways of the New Balance 2002R in collaboration with J. Crew. American apparel retailer J. Crew and New Balance have been working together for some time and have released several sneakers in recent years. This time, they come up with six new pairs that are available exclusively at J. Crew.
J. Crew
American clothing brand J. Crew has been a major brand in the field of clothing, accessories and shoes since 1947. Besides New Balance, J. Crew has also collaborated with brands such as Vans, Asics and Nike in the past. Together with New Balance, J. Crew has launched a number of models in the market. For example, in 2014, the two brands released the New Balance 998 x J. Crew Concrete Jungle.
Following the release of the Concrete Jungle colorway, J. Crew has been working on even more New Balance models. In 2016, the New Balance 997 J Crew Butterscotch released. This colorway of the 997 gets its name from the caramel colours of the sneaker.
New Balance 2002R x J. Crew
In the new collab from New Balance and J. Crew, the 2002R has been given six new colorways. The 2002R has had many different variations last year and now six more are being added. The colorways from J.Crew are very diverse. From bright yellow to black, the 2002R has been given many different looks.
The sneaker has a mesh upper. The nose and sides of the shoe are made of suede and leather. The colorway "Silver Metallic/Team Red" is the 'dad shoe' of the pack and has metallic leather details all over the trainer. The sneaker has a N-ergy shock absorbing outsole. This in combination with the ABZORB midsole and the ABZORB SBS heel cushioning makes it a very comfortable sneaker.
The model is available in the colorways 'Night Tide/Au Lait', 'Rain Cloud/Prism Purple', 'Silver/Purple', 'Silver Metallic/Team Red', 'Black/Powder Green' and 'Sulphur Yellow/Silver Metallic'. All six colorways feature the New Balance logo on both sides. The model '2002R' is stitched on the heel and the tongue also features the New Balance logo.
