Hello friends, to close out the year we are looking back at the past releases of the year and are looking for the best sneaker comebacks of 2020. This means all shoes that have been released before and have now been re-released. Small spoiler: There are some really cool Jordans and other hot stuff here! Unfortunately, some of the sneakers are already sold out. However, you can buy them on the safe secondary market through us. Enough talk, let's go!
The Jordan Hype - Bigger than Ever?
The first shoe in the series is a Jordan. The Air Jordan 4 Retro 'Fire Red' has made a comeback in the OG version to coincide with the release of the series "The Last Dance" on Netflix in 2020. For the first time, the shoe has a complete OG look like the original 1989 'Fire Red'.
This makes it especially interesting for Jordan fans and sneaker collectors. MJ wore the Jordan 4 'Fire Red' for three months during the 89/90 season. Since the shoe was only released in November, you can still hope for a restock!
An icon of the sneaker and basketball scene
The second shoe is the adidas Forum 84 High 'Off White', which first saw the light of day in 1984. The Forum 84 convinces with its vintage and 80s look and is more modern than ever.
In the early days, the adidas Forum 84 High 'Off White' was mainly popular as a basketball shoe, but its cool design also increasingly made it onto the streets of the city.
Sneaker comebacks - Nike Air Max 90 'Safari'
We continue with an Air Max 90, which is still available and can be bought at some retailers. The Air Max 90 'Safari' hit the shops back in 1987 and made a comeback in 2020. But the hype around the animal prints didn't die down at all this year.
The Dunk Low Elephant or new models of the Atmos series, as well as the new CR7 football boots all have an animal print. Get the classic Air Max 90 in the 'Safari' colorway.
Ugly Duckling Dunks
Next, I actually have three shoes for you. There was the re-release of the Ugly Duckling Pack this year. The shoes were originally released in 2001 and all three were re-released over the year 2020. Today we turn our attention to ceramics. If you're interested in the details, I recommend reading Clairs blog, where you'll also find details of the Ceramic Dunk.
The last release, the Dunk Low Ceramic, was released as a Japan exclusive in 2001 and features a clever colour scheme of black, orange and some green accents.
IRAK x GORE-TEX x adidas ZX 8000
Lastly, perfect for winter is the Irak x adidas ZX 8000, in collaboration with GORE-TEX. The ZX series from 2008, which adidas has been bringing back to the market for some time, was expanded this September.
IRAK, a graffiti crew from NY City, collaborates with GORE-TEX to make the shoes extra durable and breathable. Finally, here's some really good news: the colorways are still available at some retailers!
