adidas is bringing back an iconic meme on the Stan Smith. The design was first unveiled in autumn 2022 and has now been given an official release date in July 2023. The trainer is inspired by episode 16 of season 5 of The Simpsons, titled 'Homer Loves Flanders', in which Homer hides in the bushes after Flanders rejects his invitation to spend the day together.

The trainer's upper has a clean, white design that resembles the original Stan Smith. The heel features fluffy material as a nod to the bush in the meme, which hides an embroidered Homer. The side of the sneaker reads 'Homer Simpson' where normally the Stan Smith branding is placed. As a final detail, the main character himself is pictured on the tongue, instead of Stan Smith.
