Update April 3, 2025 - The rumours have been circulating for a while, but we are finally seeing the first images of the collaboration between Nike, fragment design, and Union LA. The release celebrates the 40th anniversary of the Air Jordan label, which was established in the 90s in collaboration with Michael Jordan.
The first images of the sneaker reveal a familiar colourway combining white, navy, and black. The upper is inspired by the 2017 Air Jordan 1 collaboration with fragment design. The signature stitching of Union LA holds the elements together, giving the silhouette a playful twist.
The sneaker features the classic Wings logo on the heel, with the 'UNION' label underneath. The lightning bolt logo from fragment design also appears on the sneaker at the heel. The tongue uses flexible foam, with stitching matching that of the upper. Unlike the 2017 release, this sneaker comes with a white outsole instead of a blue one.

Original post: October 24, 2024 - In 2025 we will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Air Jordan 1, and we are already buzzing with all the rumors about what to expect in this anniversary year. One of the most talked about rumors so far involves a collaboration between Fragment Design, Union LA and the Air Jordan 1.
Unfortunately, no images of the sneaker have surfaced yet, but expectations are sky-high. Looking at the mock-up of the collab, we can see that the design will feature elements of both brands. Expect a mix of Union LA's stitched finish and Fragment's iconic colors.
Union LA has had considerable success with their Jordan 1 releases in the past, such as those popular 2018 models that sold out at lightning speed.
