First impressions of the Air Jordan 36

Jordan Brand recently gave us a first look at the new Air Jordan 36. The kicks made their debut on the feet of basketball player Jayson Tatum. Tatum wore the kicks for Game 2 of the Celtics vs Nets playoff series. This means Michael Jordan's next Air Jordan performance sneaker, the Air Jordan 36, has been officially leaked long before its launch, and of course we're going to take a detailed look at that.

The Air Jordan 36

As you can see in the pictures below, the sneaker has a purple and black knit construction all over the upper. The black details can also be seen on the tongue, eye stays and lining.

On the previous Air Jordan models, just like on the AJ36, you could see a tongue that is very similar to the tongue of the Air Jordan 6. The so-called Eclipse plate in the sole was also used on the two previous models. This Eclipse plate (probably the 3.0) can be seen on the white and purple midsole of the Jordan 36, along with a semi-transparent orange rubber outsole.

In this article we will introduce you to the predecessor, the Air Jordan 35 and with it the technology of the Eclipse plate.

The Jordan Brand Eclipse Plate is designed for a smooth transition from midfoot to forefoot, giving athletes more control and faster jumps.

A little sneak peek

We got another look at the Nike Air Jordan 36 from WMNS basketball star Satou Sabally. It looks like the kicks will not have the "NIKE AIR" lettering on the heel. In terms of shape, it is otherwise very similar to the Air Jordan 35. As soon as the sneaker is officially unveiled, we will of course inform you about the new look and technology in detail.
