The new Air Max 1 The Wave still has an upper made of mesh and leather. The base is the same mesh material as the previous colorway. The overlays around the upper are also the same as the 'Monarch' and are in white.
What immediately stands out is the wavy mudguard. This wave runs around the upper of the sneaker. In this colorway, this element is blue. This blue colour also returns on the Swoosh and the upper lacing eyes.
The midsole is in a cream colour. This makes the colours of the upper stand out clearly. The outsole consists of four surfaces. The upper and lower are dark brown. The second plane is light brown. The third area is the same blue colour as the upper.
