Singer J Balvin was seen wearing a never-before-seen Air Jordan 3 during a basketball spot with basketball player Jimmy Butler. It seems the Colombian reggaeton artist is planning a new collaboration with Nike. Read all about the J Balvin x Air Jordan 3 'Rio' here.
J Balvin and Nike are no strangers to each other. The artist, known for songs such as "Mi Gente," "Loco Contigo" and "Bum Bum Tam Tam," first teamed up with Nike in 2020 and released the Air Jordan 1 "Colores Y Vibras. Since its release, multiple, colorful designs have rolled out of the duo's collaboration.
Released in September 2023, the J Balvin x Air Jordan 3 'Medellín Sunset' sneaker features a colorful colorway. The 'Rio' colorway shares the same design, but instead of a white, it has a black upper. An ombre effect is placed on the heel elements. J Balvin is known for his colorful designs, this collab is also well-reflected.
The heel features J Balvin's logo. The mudguard and overlays at the heel use the well-known "Elephant" print, which appears on many Air Jordan 3 colorways. The black midsole is supported by a red outsole. At the heel, the ombre effect returns.
