Teddy Santis, founder of Aimé Leon Dore and creative director at New Balance, shows the first images of two new colorways of the New Balance 991. In recent years, both names have designed a lot of hyped stuff. There is no official release date for the New Balance 991 yet, but we can already take a look at the styles:
Aimé Leon Dore is a lifestyle brand from New York, founded by Teddy Santis. In recent years, the brand has collaborated with New Balance several times. For example, the New York-based store breathed new life into the New Balance 550 in 2020. This retro model has had several colorways since then, and recently Aimé Leon Dore came out with colorways of the NB 650.
Now the two names are coming out with two NB 991 colorways. The first Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 991 has a chic look. The upper colors off-white and is made of mesh. The brown, leather overlays give the sneaker a luxurious look. Also, several green details appear throughout the upper.
The center panel features the familiar N logo. This logo colors green with white and is made of leather. The sole colors off-white and gives the sneaker a retro look. On the heel and toe are grey, suede elements.
The second colorway of the NB 991 combines different shades of gray. The overlays on the model turn gray and are made of suede. Also on this colorway, the green color makes its showing. The upper, as with the first colorway, is made of mesh and colors off-white.
The colorways of the Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 991 both have no official release date yet. However, we can expect the sneakers in 2022. Keep an eye on our news page and stay up-to date.
