Filling Pieces x Footshop Low Top Ghost
Footshop and Filling Pieces come up with the 'Ghost', celebrating the 10-year anniversary of Footshop. The company was founded in 2011 and has had several collaborations in recent years, including with adidas. Filling Pieces is also an important brand for the shop.
This Dutch brand's sneakers are handmade in Portugal with materials imported from Italy. The brand was the first premium brand to join Footshop. Thanks to this move, Footshop has been shaped into the shop it is today. "Filling Pieces have started to change the Footshop range from traditional sneakers offerings to a premium product," says Peter Hajduček, founder and CEO Footshop.
The 'Ghost' has the well-known silhouette of Filling Pieces. The Low Top has a sleek design and a wavy mudguard and sole. The sneaker comes in an all-white colorway. It combines different materials like suede and cork. On the heel you can see the number 10. This refers to the 10th Anniversary of Footshop.
The tongue features the logos of both brands. The most important aspect of the sneaker is the sustainable approach to design. For example, the speckled sole is made of recycled plastic and cork. The insole is also made of recycled plastic. In addition, the suede overlays on the model are made from leftover scraps.
Because leftover scraps are used for the overlays, every shoe is unique. With this sneaker, Footshop and Filling Pieces want to combine sustainability and luxury. Both brands are convinced that new luxury will be defined by environmentally conscious designs and productions.
The raffle for the Filling Pieces x Footshop Low Top 'Ghost' ends on 13 November 2021.
