In just under two weeks, it will finally be Valentine's Day. On this day, you can spoil your loved one or yourself. And what better way to do this than with a pair of sneakers! On Saturday 6 February Nike will release the Valentines Pack. This pack contains an Air Max 90 and an Air Force 1. Are you curious about this pack, read on below.
Every year, brands release Valentine's Day related sneakers. Last year, Nike released colorways for the Air Max 90 and Air Force 1. These colorways made use of huge Swooshes on the upper. The 2021 release will be a bit tamer than last year's, with the sneakers carrying a bit more of the Valentine's feeling.
The best Valentine's sneaker from last year was the Nike SB Dunk Low in collaboration with Strangelove Skateboards. This sneaker was largely made of terry cloth and had different shades of pink on it. It was one of the most striking releases of 2020.
Nike Valentine Pack
Let's look at the Nike Air Max 90 first. White leather is used for most of the upper. This white leather is then combined with pink suede on the mudguard and midfoot. Red accents are used on the Swoosh, tongue, heel and outsole. The tongue tag features a nice detail. You can open the tongue tag and there is a heart pictured with the text "ME + AM90 = TRUE LOVE". Under the upper is a white midsole with pink around the Air Unit.
The Air Force 1 is very similar to the Air Max 90. The base is once again made from white leather combined with pink suede. The round notches that are always placed on the toebox and midfoot are changed to hearts this time. The tongue patch can also be opened in this release. Red is used for the Swoosh and Nike logo on the heel. Underneath the upper is a white midsole combined with a pink outsole.
