Ebay joins forces with Sneaker Con and launches new sneaker authentication feature for their buying and selling platform. Ebay Sneaker Con - check out your sneakers!
Still the widest offer
Whether you're looking for a very old pair or the latest hype release, that unfortunately sold out everywhere, Ebay is still one of the best options to find what you're looking for. From the best deals, to the most obscure couples, Ebay still has the most variable offer among all buying and selling platforms.
Merger with Sneakercon
Ebay has always been a popular place to score a pair of sneakers. But was it really a safe place to buy? In most cases it was. But for the small part not original pairs, there is now a solution. Because Ebay is joining forces with Sneaker Con, the American sneaker event. With the introduction of a new authentication function, buying on Ebay is now even safer. Ebay checks your sneaker! Completely free of charge.
How does it work?
Step 1:
The buyer chooses an item on Ebay with the blue authentic warranty label (see photo below this blog) and pays for it.
Step 2:
The sneakers are sent by the seller to an authentication office where the sneakers undergo an extensive inspection carried out by independent inspectors of Sneaker Con.
Step 3:
Original sneakers receive an Ebay warranty label.
Step 4:
The seller will be allocated the payment and the sneakers will be sent to the buyer. Both users do not pay for this service.
Step 5:
The Ebay warranty label is attached to the sneakers as soon as they are approved by an authenticator. The label also has a digital stamp, which can be read by the buyer by means of an NFC chip, which is very handy.
Serious player
With this feature Ebay adds to their platform a new serious player in the market of sneaker authentication platforms. Platforms such as Stockx, Klekt and Goat will gain a joyful competitor. What does this mean for us sneaker buyers? Another safe way to get hold of our sneakers. A good thing!
