The famous Buzz sole from Dr. Martens is back and here to stay. The playful, nostalgic sole, inspired by the ’90s - think Spice Girls-style boots - gives the classic silhouettes from the Dr. Martens archives a quirky twist.
Combine this sole with a dalmatian print, and you get a release that might just outshine all previous animal-themed drops.
After a striking debut last fall, the chunky, ’90s- and archive-inspired line returns with refreshed silhouettes and an expanded color palette. Especially for the upcoming spring, Dr. Martens is unveiling three new silhouettes.
The standout of the season is the 5-eye boot with dalmatian print. Made in hair-on-leather (also called ponyhair), a material currently trending heavily in the fashion world, and now, in the Year of the Horse, we’ll no doubt see it even more.
The Dr. Martens Buzz 5-Eye ‘Dalmatian’ features a chunky design that fully embraces the ‘dad shoe’ trend. The Buzz sole gives the pair a fresh upgrade. The silhouette is also available in a slightly more understated brown colorway for those who aren’t dog lovers.
In addition to the bold Buzz 5-Eye Boot, there’s the Buzz Strap Velcro Shoe: an easy-to-wear, expressive, and playful model with pink details that pop against the deep brown colorway. The Buzz Hi Boot, my personal favorite, also makes its entrance.
