As we announced last week, The Turnover is back with a fresh season full of amazing guests and immaculate vibes. Tune in for the first episode of the new season where DJ Turne invited a new guest into his studio in Amsterdam. This guest is none other than DJ Irwan.
DJ Irwan is a decorated Dutch DJ born and raised in Amsterdam. He is seen as one of the founders of the 'Urban Eclectic' style, that's a style where various styles get mixed with hip-hop or R&B base. DJ Irwan started his career young, as at age 15 he was already a regular DJ in one of Amsterdam's most popular clubs at the time, club RoXY. He was also one of the founders of Partysquad, a musical trio consisting of Irwan, DJ Jerry and MC Ruben. Together they toured throughout the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany. However, in 2003, Irwan decided to leave the group to pursue his solo career.
Since then he has had a stellar career. He attended festivals like Dance Valley, Mysteryland, de Fast Forward Dance Parade and basically every major Dutch urban festival. He also received international recognition and debuted at Ultra Music Festival in 2017.
But even before UMF, Irwan was already known internationally because of collaborations with the likes of Rihanna, Lil Wayne, Destiny's Child, Justin Timberlake, and more. He was also part of numerous pre-shows for artists like Drake, Chris Brown, French Montana, and many more.
So if we say that you DON'T want to miss this set then, trust us, you really don't want to miss out on this one!
