Two different worlds? Dior and Nike Air Jordan will soon launch their first premium sneaker: The Air Jordan I High OG Dior. I previously wrote a blog about Prada x adidas and now there is also a blog about the Dior x Air Jordan!
The Air Jordan High 1 OG Dior is the first sneaker that the French fashion house and Nike have developed together. At first glance, the selected Dior sneaker looks simple due to its gray and white colors. On closer inspection, the Dior fans in particular will discover exciting details that make the shoe an object of desire.

Kim Jones, who took over the creative direction for Maison Dior and Dior Homme, the men's line from Dior in 2018, also felt it was important to symbolize outstanding quality. The sneakers that were created together with Nike were also presented in the Dior men's collection for autumn 2020.

Also on Instagram, Kim Jones shows a video with all facets of the Dior sneaker.
"We're celebrating our first show in the US and I'm proud to announce the AJ1. It has a year of development and is made in Italy from Italian leather, the Edges are hand painted, the Swoosh from original Dior-Jacquard and the soles transparent with the 'Air Dior' wings and Dior logos."

Just like a designer bag, the Air Jordan uses high-quality materials to make it both look even more luxurious in the end. The choice of colors is also inspired by the classic colors of Maison Dior. The famous Swoosh was varied with the Dior Oblique motif and thus honors the fusion of streetwear and luxury. Dior x Air Jordan - How expensive and when will it be available?
On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the "Air Jordans" and the first "Dior Men" collection in the USA, the "Air Jordan 1 High OG Dior" should combine haute couture and high-performance sports shoes. Because of this, the limited sneakers have their price and should be available for €1,800. With this price, they are among the most expensive Air Jordan models of all time. From April 2020, they were available worldwide and can also be pre-ordered in select Dior stores.
