Converse celebrates Pride 2022 with a new collection called 'Found Family'. The collection includes all different kinds of footwear, clothing and headwear. That support the vibrant and dynamic LGBTQIA+ community. The trainers within the collection have themed graphics that represent diversity. Found Family' reminds us that although we are all different, we come together with love and with pride.
The 'Found Family' collection will be available from 26 May 2022 at 10:00am on the Converse website. We'd like to walk you through the collection. The collection will be launched with a digital gallery, showcasing the personal stories of over 50 individuals within the brand's LGBTQIA+ community, and will feature a debut feature by Richie Shazam.
Run Star Motion
The outsole of the Run Star Mation already stands out because of its size and waves, but it can always be more than that. A rainbow gradient midsole makes a real statement. There is also a Pride gradient star on the ankle patch and a Pride Unity flag band on the tongue. The words Family Unity on the insole complete the design. These words remind you that we are strongest when we stand together.
Chuck 70 Hi
The Chuck 70 Hi has the same star patch in rainbow colours as the model above. A remarkable detail is the rainbow-coloured stitching on the tongue. The outsole has been given a Pride swirl. The Pride Unity flag on the heel loop completes the design. On top of that, the OrthoLite cushioning provides comfort. This shoe also has the words Family Unity on the insoles.
Chuck Taylor Hi
The Chuck Taylor Hi features custom-made patches, which combine the traditional black canvas of Chucks with a rainbow-coloured Pride bandana print. Obviously, the sneaker has the characteristic Chuck Taylor All Star details, like a rubber toe cap and stripes on the midsole. Just like the previous model, this one also has a Pride swirl on the outsole.
Chuck Taylor Lift Ox
The Chuck Taylor Lift Ox has a double platform sole which is not only eye-catching but also very stylish. The rainbow graphic on the middle panel and on the sole give a playful look to this model. In combination with rainbow stitching, a Pride colorway on the tongue and a Pride swirl on the outsole. The Pride bandana print can be seen on the lining, completing the design.
The One Star has a suede patchwork, and on the middle panel is a rainbow-coloured star. Some of the stitching is also rainbow coloured. The Pride bandana print can be seen on the lining of the shoe as with the previous model. Again, the text Family Unity is printed on the insole.
All Star Slide
Last but not least, the All Star Slide, also features the Pride bandana print. This one comes on a black base. On both straps, the Converse logo and the Star Chevron are embossed. What you can see is that this time, Family Unity is not placed on the sole, but on the strap of the slides.
Converse By You
Besides this collection, Converse By You will also be released, where you can personalise different models. For example, you can customise the All Star patch, plate and laces. All options are inspired by pride, bisexual, pansexual, lesbian, non-binary and transgender, and unity flags for a more inclusive take on personal expression.
