Comme des Garçons comes together with New Balance, dear community. In this collaboration, the popular 550 model is used and the sneaker gets two new colorways. The pairs don't have an official release date yet. However, we can expect the Comme des Garçons Homme x New Balance 550 in 2022.
The NB 550 model has been back since 2020. The model was released in 1989 but did not catch on with everyone. In 2020, clothing retailer Aimé Leon Dore brought the sneaker back. Since then, the model has received several colorways, has been used in several collaborations and gained a lot of popularity.
Now it is the turn of Comme des Garçons. In January 2022, the first images were shown of the Nike Air Max 97 in collaboration with the Japanese company. Now, the brand is collaborating with New Balance on two colorways. The first is black and has white details, the second pair has a white upper and black details.
The N-logo has been placed on the middle panel and the 550 symbol is also found on the nose. On the heel, we see details that hint at the collaboration. The letters CdGH are printed here, which stands for Comme des Garçons Homme. The upper is made of leather and the pair has a retro look.
The collaboration does not yet have an official release date. However, we can expect the pairs in 2022.
