Vans Customs have been a tradition since 1966. Back then, Paul Van Doren made shoes from every material people brought to the shop. Now the creativity is in your hands, because you can customise your own pride kicks!
For customs, there are different types of Vans silhouettes available. You can choose from the Slip-ons, Sk8-hi, Authentics, Era, Ultrarange and Old Skool silhouettes. For all shoes you can adjust the laces, colours and embroideries. Use the button below to start right away!
Vans Pride collection 2021
Vans has released a lot of colourful shoes to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community in 2021.
The kicks are dressed in a rainbow mix of red, yellow, green, blue and purple to represent the LGBTQIA+ community.
This collection also consists of some classic kicks, like the Sk8-hi and Old Skool. Besides that, there is a clothing collection to complete the look.
The Old Skool Platform features a twisted diamond pattern on the upper and midsole, while the shoelaces and Vans' signature Jazz Stripes contrast in white.
Elsewhere, the Slip-On has lettering patterns that spell out LGBTQ+, along with rainbow PRIDE branding across the midsole.
The same theme can be found on the Sk8-Mid. The shoe line is completed by the Slip-On and the Era, which are covered in a patchwork of glitter and canvas materials. In addition to sneakers, the brand has also created clothing with the Pride theme, such as T-shirts and shorts.
Donation
Following the release of their extensive clothing and footwear collection, the brand is donating $200,000 USD to the LGBTQ+ community. This money will be distributed to organisations such as GLSEN, Casa 1, Where Love is Illegal, and Tokyo Rainbow Pride.
