The Nike Air Flight 89, originally released in 1989 as the name suggests, will celebrate its 35th anniversary in 2024. And to celebrate, Nike and Stüssy are once again teaming up for a new collaboration. Currently, the 'White/Red' colorway is the only one leaked so far. However, rumours are circulating that we can also expect a 'Black/White' and a 'White/Pecan' version.
For the Stüssy x Nike Air Flight variant, of which we now have the first images, they have opted for classic red and white colorways and perforations in the style of the 1980s. This sneaker has a white leather upper with snakeskin overlays on the sides. Other eye-catching details include mesh collars, Swooshes on the midfoot, and the 'NIKE AIR' logo embroidered at the back and on the insoles.
Of course, the Stüssy branding cannot be missing. These include the iconic 'SS' motifs and a co-branded tongue label. And did you notice any similarities with the Nike Air Jordan 4? That's no coincidence! In fact, both shoes share the same sole with the visible Air unit and various other design elements.
