On Friday February 25, 2022, adidas announced its new collaboration with Gucci. The entire collection was presented during the Gucci fall/winter runway. Shortly after, the first images of the Gucci x adidas Gazelle were released. Unfortunately, there is no release date yet for these sneakers. However, we can already take a look at the images.
These images show different colours, suggesting that the Gazelle will come in varying colorways. You can see a snakeskin Gazelle, a full suede pair and leather variations with Gucci colours.
Gucci has made a few tweaks to the original Gazelle. The tread is lower, under the collar there is sharper stitching and the sneakers have a semi-translucent midsole that runs across the adidas leather stripes.
The adidas Trefoil logo and Gucci logo can be seen on the heel and tongue. Gucci branding also appears on the outsole and Made in Italy insoles.
