New Balance has seen a stellar year in 2022 so far and they don't seem to be stopping. After collaborations with brands like BAPE, thisisneverthat, KITH, Bodega and many more, they are now dropping a new capsule with Carhartt WIP.
The Boston-based company and Carhartt WIP released their creativity on the 990 v1 silhouette, together with a whole line of apparel and accessories. According to New Balance, this capsule took inspiration from 'sculpture centres' which is a reference to humble neighborhood gyms found across the US. The source of inspiration can be found in the form of the color palette and script across the items.
The sneaker, leading this collab, comes with a mix of gray mesh and navy-blue hairy suede base. The 'N' logo on the side, sock liner and other elements on the shoe come in a contrasting off-white, light brownish hue. The design is complete with a co-branded tongue, insole and heel tab. This capsule furthermore includes various apparel items like a revamped version of Carhartt WIP's Arcan jacket and graphic tees. Accessories include beanies towels and a Nalgene water bottle.
The capsule will be available at New Balance, Carhartt WIP and a lot of other retailers on the 16th of September, 2022. Check the button for more information.
