After the success of the previous collection, sacai and Carhartt WIP have once again joined forces for the Spring/Summer 2024 season. This collection combines the unique design elements of sacai with the functional features of Carhartt WIP.
The collection consists of 18 pieces and is all about "deconstruction". In doing so, sacai has borrowed some of Carhartt's most iconic garments and added her own interpretation.
Take, for example, the reversible Duck Coat. Here, elements of Carhartt's Chore Coat and the Siberian Parka are combined. This results in a versatile silhouette that can be worn two ways. Similarly, Carhartt WIP's classic canvas is combined with sacai wool fabrics on jackets. Finally, practical details such as drawstring belts and enlarged zips appear remarkably often.
The release of sacai x Carhartt WIP is scheduled for 22 February 2024. The collection will be available at selected international retailers, dedicated sacai shops and online via sacai and Carhartt WIP's webshops.
