Shortly after the release of the Aries x SOREL collection, we see another collaboration from the outdoor footwear brand, this time with none other than Barbour, which in 2025 is more popular than ever. The partnership introduces three boots that bridge SOREL’s rugged design language with Barbour’s timeless style.
In addition to the boots, the duo also unveils a jacket, perfect for mountain adventures.
Outerwear, Barbour style
Whether SOREL truly fits under the gorpcore label is up for debate, though the brand’s items are genuinely designed for mountain use. The collaboration with Barbour reinforces this and adds flair to SOREL’s durable, weather-resistant designs.
The collection includes three silhouettes: the Callsign Horizon Low GTX, Daystorm Horizon GTX, and Caribou Horizon GTX, each crafted from corduroy and GORE-TEX. The boots are made from premium full-grain leather combined with tartan, the fabric Barbour is best known for, and rest on sturdy Vibram soles.
Alongside the footwear, the collaboration also features the Transport Down Wax Puffer, a contemporary take on Barbour’s iconic Transport Jacket, made from waxed cotton with a warm down filling.
The entire collection carries co-branding, subtly referencing the duo’s first-ever collaboration.
