In 2015, Bandulu collaborated with Converse on a number of Chuck 70s. Now almost six years later, the two are finally getting back together! Where we only saw a few minor tweaks in the previous collaboration, Bandulu has pulled out more this time around. The two brands have also collaborated on clothing items.
Boston-based Bandulu collects quality vintage clothes and breathes new life into them. They do this by manually adding embellishments. Bandulu means fake, bootleg, ghetto. "You know it's real when it's fake." Says Bandulu themselves about their clothing.
In their first collab, several Converse Chuck 70's were transformed into these by the creative brand. Each pair is hand-decorated, which makes each item unique. This is also the case this time. The two brands finally come together again to further dress up the previously used silhouette and the Pro Leather.
Bandulu x Converse
Two brown sneakers and clothing items from Converse have been given a Bandulu makeover. The brand is known for the paint splatters they add manually on the items. This time, these splatters have been replaced by embroidered 'drops'. Different colours are embroidered in the brown canvas of the Chuck 70 and the leather upper of the Pro Leather. Blue, gold, pink and many other shades are seen on the upper. A nice detail is that both brands are embroidered. Also the Converse All Star logo on the inside of the trainer!
The Bandulu x Converse collection will be available from 11 February at both the Bandulu website and via Converse. Photos of the collaboration can be viewed below. Download the Sneakerjagers app to always be up to date with the latest trainer news, releases and shock drops.
