The second actor in this collab is the official charity of the American National Parks. Since 1967, the National Park Foundation has been raising private funds to protect national parks totaling more than 84 million hectares through conservation and protection measures. And this is how they do it for Joshua Tree National Park near L.A., as well.
A national park as inspiration for the colorway:
Yes, dear community, the extremely beautiful colorway of the National Park Foundation x adidas ZX 5000 'Joshua Tree' is due to the National Park of the same name. The sneakers reflect the idyllic, natural atmosphere of the Joshua Tree National Park landscape during the evening sun. 🏜️
Let's get down to details:
Let's start with the base: The colourful sneaker has been given a purple Cordura nylon base on the popular ZX 5000 silhouette, which is adorned with beautiful 'tonal pink' coloured overlays of nubuck leather. Of course, we can't forget the orange details, such as the stripes and other overlays. They provide the necessary, ultimate sunrise experience! 🌅
Two very special features are the second, orange heel strap and especially the Velcro patch on the tongue! The patch comes with a graphic representing the Joshua Tree National Park, where (for example) a drawing of a Joshua tree has been placed on. Et voilà! The next fire sneaker of the A-ZX series is complete.🙏🏼
