On the occasion of its 30th anniversary ASICS released t some Og-Colorways and also some new Colorways this year. One of those is the ASICS Gel-Lyte III OG ‘Orange/Purple’. The Japanese sneaker company ASICS, has come up with something very special for this Colorway, a striking combination of purple and orange. The silhouette remains unchanged, as in the previous 30 years and is still very much in vogue.
The basis of the colourway is actually an off white, but the purple and orange attract all the attention. The purple and orange parts of the Gel Lyte III are the eye-catchers of the sneaker. Very important for the nostalgic vibes, that an anniversary model should always bring is that details of legendary predecessor models. This is exactly what ASICS has done with 'Orange/Purple' Gel Lyte III. Like some older Gel Lyte models, this Gel Lyte also has a split tongue. This means a tongue, that is split in the middle. After this little nostalgic trip, now back to what's new on the shoe.
I think I've mentioned it three times already, but you can't mention it often enough, the colour combination. The orange on the tongue and the other small orange details on the shoe, match just unbelievably well with the purple on the verses and on the front part of the shoe. Also the purple seams on the ASICS print to connect the purple. 😍😍😍 A simply fantastic this colour combination.
