In autumn 2022, versatile design house HAL STUDIOS and ASICS joined forces. Which kicked off a trilogy of colorways surrounding the GEL-1130. Earlier, the duo released 'Forest' and 'Earth' colorways for this model. Now, in 2023, the trilogy comes to an end with the release of the 'Glacier'.
Like the previous two designs, the sneaker is once again inspired by our natural environment. For the 'Glacier', ASICS and HAL STUDIOS found their source of inspiration in the rugged and fascinating landscapes to be discovered in glaciers worldwide. From the unforgiving terrains and mountain ranges to the striking contrasts of black sand beaches, snow, ice and peaceful waterfall valleys.
Led by HAL STUDIOS Creative Director John Bouquet, the ASICS GEL-1130 MK III has been given a breathable white mesh base. The base is enhanced with tonal leather details that extend elegantly to the lacing systems. ASICS logos of beige suede adorn the sides, while the black leather on the sneaker provides a striking contrast.
