Ajax and adidas present, together with the family of Bob Marley, the third jersey for the 2021/2022 season. The jersey is both a tribute to all Ajax fans and to Bob Marley himself and his famous song 'Three Little Birds'.

Anyone who has ever been to the Johan Cruijff Arena knows the song. 'Three Little Birds' by Bob Marley can be heard echoing through the stadium and the audience always sings along loudly.
How is it that 'Three Little Birds' connects the Ajacists so much? In August 2008, the Amsterdam team played a friendly match against Cardiff City FC. To avoid crowds, the Ajax fans were asked to stay in the box for a while.
To make the wait more enjoyable, the stadium DJ was on hand. This DJ played a lot of songs to keep the fans calm. One of these songs was 'Three Little Birds' by Bob Marley. Many people knew this song and started to sing along.
Since this match, you can also hear this song in the Johan Cruijff Arena. For the Ajax fans, this song is a symbol of hope. Even when Ajax is behind and playing a bit worse, the real fans sing this song along, because every little thing is gonna be alright!
Collection
The collection includes a jersey, track top, track pants, jumper, t-shirt and shoes. The kit consists of a football shirt, shorts and socks.
The shirts are black with a red Ajax, Ziggo and adidas logo. The three stripes on the sleeves are in red, yellow and green, just like the edges of the sleeves. On the left sleeve is the Curaçao logo in yellow. The number and last name are also in yellow, but have a green and red border.
The collar of the new Ajax shirt contains a small reference to 'Three Little Birds'. It features three little birds leaning on the three crosses of Amsterdam. These little birds also have the red, green and yellow colours.
The collection also includes a pair of sneakers. This is the Samba model of adidas. This silhouette has a history in the world of football. Despite that, we see this shoe a lot in the streets.
The Samba has a leather and suede upper and is in black, just like the shirt. On the tongue, the Ajax logo can be found in red. The stripes on the side are of course again in red, yellow and green.
